Angel Olsen has backed up Bonnie “Prince” Billy as a member of The Babblers, contributed to film scores, and her latest album Half Way Home has received a sizable amount of praise. The former St. Louisian’s rap sheet looks good and after seeing her perform at Off Broadway, it’s not hard to imagine Angel Olsen becoming much more in the next few years.

It’s worth mentioning that Olsen’s guitar technique is something very easy to appreciate. Her use of slightly uncommon movable chords compliments her vocal prowess and controlling the volume/gain of her signal with her right hand expresses an approach that’s harder and harder to find among young musicians.
